Bank of Dongguan International was granted a banking license by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on October 31, 2024.

Its establishment marked a significant milestone, making Bank of Dongguan Co., Ltd. the first city commercial bank from Mainland China to set up a newly-incorporated subsidiary bank in Hong Kong.

On August 11, 2025, Bank of Dongguan International officially commenced business, opening a new chapter in financial services.
