| What should I be aware for making a transfer? |
| You are reminded to verify carefully the payee details (i.e. account number/mobile number/email/FPS ID etc.) and transfer amount before confirming a fund transfer instruction. In case of any transfer to a wrong account by mistake, contact the bank for assistance as soon as possible. However, the payee’s bank may only return the fund back to the bank upon getting the transferees consent. If the payee’s bank cannot get in touch with payee, payee is not cooperative or refuses to return the fund, the transferor should consider reporting to the Police; and/ or to seek independent legal advice on possible actions. Besides, anyone who discovers a deposit to his bank account from an unknown source and does not return the fund, he may be criminally liable. |

| What are the important information about Cheque service? |
| 1. A cheque payable to a named payee “or bearer” is payable to any person who presents the cheque to us. 2. A cheque payable to a named payee with or without the words “or order” is payable to him or another person to whom the cheque is endorsed. A cheque which is not “crossed” (a cash cheque) may be cashed. 3. A cheque which is not “crossed” (a cash cheque) may be cashed 4. A “crossed” cheque would not be paid in cash to the holder. For your protection, please delete “or bearer” on and cross all cheques. Do not pre-sign a cheque in blank. 5. Please use care in drawing cheques; do not facilitate alteration or forgery. The signature should not be too simple. Write in non-erasable ink or ballpoint pen in Chinese or English. Write the payee’s full name, and cross out any blank space. Leave no space in front of, in between or after the amount. Add “only” after the amount in words. Use Arabic numerals for figures. Confirm any alteration by your full signature. 6. A cheque book will usually be mailed to you within 1 week. If you request mail by registered post, it will be at your cost. On receipt, please check the cheque serial numbers, account number, your printed name and the number of the cheques. Please immediately report any irregularities to us. Please keep your cheque books under lock. Please immediately report the loss of any signed or blank cheque or cheque book to us. 7. A cheque may be dishonored if there are insufficient cleared fundsin your account. Charges may apply. Prior advice may not be given. We may choose to pay (without advice). If we do so, you will repay the resulting debit, interest and charges. 8. We may return a cheque unpaid if it is incorrectly completed, altered without your full signature, post-dated or out-of-date (e.g., 6 months old). Charges may apply. 9. | Is standing instruction / recurring payment available? |
| Standing instruction / recurring payment is only available for accounts maintained in the Bank only, standing instruction / recurring payment is not available for transferring fund to other bank. You may setup standing instruction /recurring payment (with specific amount for each payment, the frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), start & end date or no. of times) via branch for free. Customer can change or cancel the standing instruction / recurring payment anytime via branch for the payments that are not due. |

| When will my fund be debited from my account after I submit my remittance instruction? |
| The funds will be debited from the account prescribed by you on the same day you have submitted your application. |
| When the beneficiary receives the money after I submitted a remittance instruction? |
| The time when the beneficiary receives the funds will depend on the processing time of the intermediary bank(s)/ beneficiary bank or its branches. Normally, it takes 1 to 4 business day(s) for beneficiaries to receive the funds. However, it may take longer time for payment to countries where exchange control is in place, or where it is the receiving banks requirement to release funds upon contact with the beneficiary, or if the payment has to go through a number of banks and branches. To ensure that the remittance can be processed accurately and efficiently throughout the payment chain, please provide correct SWIFT Bank Identifier Code / domestic clearing number of the relevant beneficiary bank branch / IBAN if applicable. |
